BRICS Unified Payment System Achievable With Right Trust Framework, South African Council Says
A unified payment system for the 11-member BRICS bloc is achievable with the right trust and regulatory framework, according to the South African chapter of the BRICS council.
India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit on September 12–13, 2026, at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Attendees include Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
