Egypt warns against Ethiopia’s Nile control claims and additional dam plans

Egypt has warned that it will not accept any attempt by Ethiopia to control Nile water flows to downstream countries, according to state-run news agency MENA. The warning follows remarks by Ethiopia’s water and energy minister about building additional dams on the river.

An Egyptian source stated that Egypt ‘will not accept or allow’ any party to control the flow of Nile water, accusing Ethiopia of pursuing a unilateral approach and violating international law.
