Mom says 9-year-old begged not to go with dad before he allegedly killed her
The mother of a 9-year-old girl allegedly killed by her father testified Tuesday that her daughter didn’t want to travel overseas with him months before her body was found submerged in a New York lake. Kali Galanis told jurors that her ex-partner, Luciano Frattolin, originally wanted to take Melina to his native Ethiopia in January 2025.
