EDF Warns Delaying Next Major IPCC Report Risks Leaving Decision-Makers in the Dark

Following the abrupt conclusion of the 65th plenary meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in Addis Ababa, countries failed to agree on the budget or timing of the next major report, according to a statement from the Environmental Defense Fund.

EDF urged countries to avoid delaying critical climate science in the next IPCC report ahead of the United Nations climate conference COP31.

The organization warned that delaying the report risks leaving global decision-makers in the dark.
